APC submitted an application for a prospecting permit on June 27,201 I. The prospecting permit would incorporate the APC development area, near Stanford, Judith Basin County, Montana. On June 30, 2011, the Department issued a completeness and initial technical deficiency letter. APC's response was received on July 8,20]1. APC's prospecting permit application and subsequent deticiency response addressed all of the rules pertaining to submittal of a prospecting application. Therefore, the Department finds that APC's application for a prospecting permit X2011335 is'administratively complete and preliminarily acceptable. The bond required for the prospecting activities is $62,556. This amount must be submitted prior to the Department issuing a prospecting permit. Please proceed with publishing the Public Notice in a paper of general circulation in the locality of the proposed activity [MCA 82-4-226 (8)( e)]. The notice must be published once. A lO-day comment period will follow the date of pUblication. During the 1O-day comment period, the Department will complete its technical review and notify you of any deficiencies.
